Vivek Gupta

Vivek Gupta is a scholar and curator of Islamic and South Asian art. His research bridges Islamic and Indian archives as well as visual and literary cultures across time periods. He holds graduate degrees from Columbia University and has served in positions at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Freer|Sackler Galleries, Smithsonian Institution. For the academic year 2016-17, he is working on the premier collections of Islamic and South Asian coins as an Assistant Curator/Fellow at the American Numismatic Society.
